A novel transient search optimization for optimal allocation of multiple distributed generator in the radial electrical distribution network

Abstract Most of the generated electricity is lost in power loss while transmitting and distributing it to consumer end. The losses occurring distribution network cause deviation voltage lower stability due increased load demand. integration multiple Distributed Generation (DG) will enable existing radial electrical efficient by minimizing improving profile. Metaheuristic optimization techniques provide a favorable solution for optimal location sizing DG network. A novel modern metaheuristic Transient Search Optimization (TSO) algorithm, inspired network’s transient response storage components implemented proposed work. TSO formulated DGs allocation minimize total active loss, enhance index as minimization problem satisfying various equality inequality constraints. installation units at unity, fixed, factors were examined. algorithm’s effectiveness was tested on standard IEEE 33-bus 69-bus networks, including operating events developed form single multi-objective fitness functions. reduced 94.29 94.71% 33 69 bus systems. obtained results trustworthiness confirmed comparison with well-known methods like Genetic Algorithm (GA), Particle Swarm (PSO), combined GA/PSO, Teaching Learning Based (TLBO), Swine influenza model-based quarantine (SIMBO-Q), Multi-Objective Harris Hawks optimizer (MOHHO) other provided literature. presented numerical studies represent usefulness out-performance algorithm its exploration exploitation mechanisms meticulously.
